Access to a good education, irrespective of race, gender or income-level, is a fundamental human right. Sadly, the current state of public education in the US, India and many other countries around the world leaves this basic right unmet.

Despite near universal consensus that our state/national education systems’ failure to provide citizens with equitable access to free, high-quality public schools must radically change, the lack of political consensus has held back the cause of education reform for many years.

Nothing less than our economic self-existence in the ‘flat’ global economy of the 21st century is at stake. In the knowledge economy, self-directed, life-long learning is the norm, not the exception. The effective development of critical thinking, analytical, and humanistic skills are critical to our students’ future success.

There are many well-intentioned schools, with good people trying to do the right thing for their students. Well-intentioned school leadership, while necessary, is insufficient to achieve sustained educational excellence. Well-executed schools, however, are driven by the most critical element of organizational success – leadership.

While the challenges facing edupreneurs are profound, there is also an extraordinary opportunity for ambitious reform of public education. We need to completely reimagine what schools can do, where resources are allocated, and how students learn, grow, and succeed.

We hope that every day - fellow educators, parents, entrepreneurs, and visionaries - will engage the public in achieving a single goal - ensuring access to ubiquitous, high-quality education for all as a global norm rather than exception.

We look forward to working with you to change the world – one student at a time.
